Who may attend?
The convention is public. All attendees must register and receive a badge.
If you were elected a delegate by your precinct caucus, you will receive a delegate badge and be seated with other delegates. You will be able to vote in convention proceedings.
If you are a visitor, you will receive a visitor badge and must sit or stand in the visitor section(s). Visitors are anyone who is not a delegate

What about Covid?
We highly recommend that delegates and visitors wear masks at the convention. If you need accommodations for Covid risk, we can seat you in a section at the front side(s) where social distancing will be greater. Can I bring my kids?
Yes, you may bring your children with you to the convention; they will need to sit with you.
Will there be food available?
Yes, there will be light refreshments, such as fruit, donuts, chips, granola bars, coffee, and pop, available to purchase at a very reasonable cost. We use compostables so be sure to dispose of things in the appropriate bin.

What will we do at the convention?
At the convention, we will:
- Adopt a constitution for the new Senate District 56 (SD56) DFL. See our proposed Constitution below.
- Elect SD56 officers, and delegates and alternates to the State Central Committee (SCC) from SD56. More information on running for these offices is available here.
- Endorse candidates from SD56 for the MN House and MN Senate.
- Elect delegates and alternates to the State/Congressional District DFL conventions. The CD2 convention is on May 7 and is virtual. The State convention is May 20-22 in Rochester.
- Vote on resolutions which may ultimately become part of the 2022-2023 DFL Platform.
