Position Descriptions

SD56 Director Responsibilities

Directors attend monthly meetings and perform functions assigned by the SD56 Central Committee.  
These functions may include working on:

• Events
• Social media
• Data management
• Campaign support
• Precinct development
• Outreach
• Training

​Directors are party unit officers, members of the SD56 Executive and Central Committees, and are expected to attend monthly SD56 meetings held on the 4th Tuesday of each month via Zoom.  Directors will support the endorsed DFL candidates.

State Central Committee Delegate or Alternate Responsibilities

The State Central Committee (SCC) is the governing body of the MN DFL between State Conventions. SCC Delegates (and their Alternates, as needed) are expected to attend up-to-quarterly meetings which are held throughout the State. SCC Delegates are also members of the SD56 Executive and Central Committees, and are expected to attend monthly SD56 meetings.  Delegates are also voting members of the CD2 DFL committee which meets every second Tuesday of the month.  Delegates will support the endorsed DFL candidates.
