About 2020 Precinct Caucuses
Welcome! We hope you’ll be able to join your neighbors at your precinct caucus on the evening of Tuesday, February 25.
Where is my precinct caucus? All SD57 DFL Precinct Caucuses will be held in the Lower Level of Falcon Ridge Middle School (FRMS), 12900 Johnny Cake Ridge Rd, Apple Valley, MN 55124.
When is my precinct caucus? Tuesday, February 25. Registration opens at 6:30 p.m. Caucuses start promptly at 7 p.m. in the Lower Level Cafeteria.
I don't know what precinct I live in.
You can find out ahead of time here.
And if you live in Apple Valley, Rosemount, Coates, or northeast Lakeville (between Flagstaff and Diamond Path, and between 160th and 180th), then you live in Senate District 57 and will be caucusing at Falcon Ridge Middle School. Once you get there, go to the lower level lobby and there will be lots of folks to help you find out your precinct number.
Do you know your precinct number? If you do, you can go right on in to the FRMS Cafeteria and find your precinct's table(s). They will be in numerical order, and your Precinct Caucus Convener will be there to welcome you.
Can I bring my kids? Yes, you may bring your kids with you to your caucus.
What happens at a Precinct Caucus?
What if I cannot attend my caucus, but want to be elected, propose a resolution, or volunteer on a committee?
There is a special form to fill out here. After you complete it, you can send it to SD57 Chair Nancy Stroessner, by mail: 14253 Hayes Road, Apple Valley, MN 55124, or email: [email protected].

- You can talk with your DFL neighbors.
- You will hear from candidates.
- You will elect a Chair and Vice Chair(s) for your precinct for the next two years. See the Precinct Chair Job Description here.
- You may run to be a Delegate or Alternate to the April 4 Senate District 57 DFL Convention.
- You may volunteer to serve on a committee which helps to plan the SD57 DFL Convention. Find out more here.
